Professional Licensure

Students and prospective students seeking employment in a field that requires professional licensure or certification must contact their state鈥檚 licensing entity where they intend to practice to review all licensure and certification requirements before enrolling. The information provided in the table below includes the University of Arizona Global Campus (UAGC) programs that are designed to meet educational requirements for a specific professional license or certification that is required for employment in an occupation and the university鈥檚 determination of whether a particular program, if successfully completed, would be sufficient to meet the state educational requirements for specific professional license or certification in each state. Some states require individuals to complete additional requirements that are unrelated to educational prerequisites. These disclosures do not guarantee that any state licensure or certification entity will approve or deny an application. Additionally, these disclosures do not account for changes in state law or regulation that may affect an application for licensure that occurs after these disclosures have been made.

A student changing their state of residence after admission into a degree program may impact whether the student can remain in the degree program, meet the state licensure requirements, and/or continue to receive financial aid funding. Prior to considering relocating, students shall contact their program advisor to discuss authorization and licensure eligibility requirements. It is the student鈥檚 responsibility to notify the institution of a change in physical location.

Additional information related to licensure and certification can be found in the Licensure and Certification Terms and Conditions section of each program landing page. For additional information on state authorization and SARA, please click here.
